Fairbanks LLC Welcomes Former CMS Senior Policy Advisor, Judi Wallace

Judi Wallace brings 14 years of experience working for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as a Senior Policy Advisor in their central office headquarters. She is a leader and expert in the review and analysis of federal guidelines associated with school-based Medicaid reimbursement programs and has been critical in working with many state programs to develop and successfully implement Administrative Claiming and Direct Services State Plan Amendments for programs across the country. Along with her expertise in school-based programs, she also brings experience in developing and approving Medicaid reimbursement plans for other state and local agency programs such as early childhood intervention, local health departments, and long-term care facilities.
As a member of CMS, she has been recognized for her in-depth knowledge regarding policy issues and federal guidance to assist state programs to meet compliance requirements. She has a background in strategic planning, policy direction, guidance to State Medicaid Agencies, and has worked directly with the 10 CMS regional offices and the CMS leadership team. Along with her Medicaid expertise, she brings a background in Special Education working for 10 years between Baltimore City and Baltimore County Schools managing the Medicaid/School-based program. She has conducted research and analysis on financing, policy and programmatic issues including the development and review of national policy for Medicaid. Fairbanks has worked with Judi on several implementation projects in the past, and excitedly welcomes her to the Fairbanks team.
