Chicago, Illinois, February 01, 2012

The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) selected Fairbanks to provide program expertise, consulting services and technical assistance to LACOE in fulfilling its monitoring, certification, claim review, oversight responsibilities and other services relating to the submission of State Medicaid Administrative Activities (MAA) claiming invoices on behalf of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and all other local education agencies in LACOE’s region. LAUSD is the nation’s second largest public school district and was the first district in California approved by CMS to use RMTS.

The Los Angeles County Office of Education is the nation’s largest regional education agency providing a range of programs and services to promote academic and financial stability to the county’s 80 school districts and the achievement of more than 2 million preschool and school-age children.

Fairbanks will assist LACOE in assuring compliance with the CMS-approved RMTS implementation plan for LAUSD including training, testing and validation of the time study coding as well as evaluating the MAA invoice submitted by LAUSD for accuracy and appropriateness.
