Fairbanks and New Mexico Health Care Authority (HCA) Collaboration at the NAME 2024 Conference
Chicago, Illinois, October 4, 2024
As programs across the country begin their program negotiations with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to comply with the new policy guidance by July 1, 2026, it will be important for states to understand the relationship between CMS and the Office of Inspector General (OIG), including how the OIG audits can influence policy.
Fairbanks and the Health Care Authority (HCA) of New Mexico will share insights from past OIG audits to help states better understand the OIG audit process and outline steps they can take to prepare in advance if selected for an audit by the OIG. The presentation will be delivered at the upcoming 2024 National Alliance for Medicaid in Education (NAME) conference. The conference is scheduled from October 15th through October 18th in Denver, Colorado and registration is available online at: https://site.pheedloop.com/event/22ndAnnualConferenceDenver/register#start
